Rental Books FAQ
How much can I save and is there a limit to the number of books I can rent?
CSUF Students typically save up to 88% by renting books versus buying new. There is no limit to the number of books we can rent.
When is the best time to rent my books and when must they be returned?
Most titles become available several weeks before classes begin. We continue to add titles as the start of classes approach, so be sure to check back regularly. All rental books are due back to Titan Shops or Irvine Center bookstore by the Friday of finals week.
How do I rent my books?
Books may be rented online or in-store provided the student is currently enrolled at CSUF and possesses a valid campus wide ID. Note: A credit card is required to secure the rental for the duration of the semester. The card must not expire before the rental due date.
Where can I view the Textbook Rental Agreement?
What if I don't return the rental books on time or wish to keep them?
If books are returned after the deadline, late fees will apply. If you wish to keep your books, simply visit Titan Shops or the Irvine Center bookstore by the due date and pay the books' remaining balance.
Can I highlight in the rental book?
It is okay to highlight, however, markings should be minimal.
If I drop or change my class, can I get a refund?
Yes. Please refer to Support for textbook refund deadlines.
